I was super excited to receive the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Makeup Foundation in the mail from Octoly. I have heard a lot about the foundation, but I never got myself to pick it up. Supposedly it is proven to have a 24-hour long wear with a medium to full coverage. So, I decided to take it to the test! I have the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Flawless wear concealer and it is my absolute favorite concealer. So I have super high expectations for the foundation. As mentioned it has a medium to full coverage. The foundation is available in 38 different shades, ranging from fair to deep skin tones. Estée Lauder claims that it won’t change color, smudge or come off on clothes. Also that it lasts through heat and humidity with a flawless and natural look. It has a matte finish. The foundation retails for $42 for 30ml. I received the shade 3N1 Ivory Beige and at first look I thought that this would be too dark for my skin. But once I actually applied the foundation I think it blended in flawlessly with my skin. I applied the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Makeup Foundation with a Smashbox Blurring Foundation Brush for a light and natural finish. What I noticed was that the foundation would dry up pretty fast so I had to work with it one area at the time. It is definitely a medium to full coverage foundation that you can easily build up to a full coverage. It covered my redness and almost all of my brake outs.
What I enjoyed most was that even though it is a matte finished foundation it did not grab onto my dry areas. Something I have huge problems with is foundations that kind of makes my dry areas patchy. This did not do that at all. However, something that I did not like was that it doesn’t come with a pump. Not only does it waste product but the chances of your foundation to have more bacterias in it increases.
Besides from that it is really an amazing foundation, at least for me. Remember that not everyones skin concerns or needs are the same and not all products work the same from everyone. I would suggest to go to a store or counter to get a sample and try it out for a day before deciding to buy it. But for me this is definitely something I would buy again.
I received this product complimentary from Estee Lauder. All opinions are 100% my own.
Sephora recently had their 20% off VIB sale so I decided that I would purchase and discover some new products. Huda Beauty is on of the new brands at Sephora that I have yet to try up until now. Therefore I decided to buy the Eyeshadow Palette among a few other things from the brand. Huda is a huge beauty influencer, if you don’t know already who she is. Seeing all the gorgeous makeup looks she does and past photos of her products, I was confident in that I wouldn’t be disappointed in this palette. I received the ADOVIA Dead Sea Salt Scrub* from ADOVIA about a week ago and got the opportunity to try and review the very interesting product. With real salt from the dead sea and with the numbers of 21 minerals infused I did expect a lot from this scrub that is supposed to exfoliate and moisturize your skin.
Now when you open the packaging you see the white clear salt in the bottom with a very clean blue liquid covering it. The scrub has a fresh smell, nothing too strong and its clear that it comes from the minerals.
I briefly tried it on my right hand and arm massaging it into my skin. The salt didn’t dissolve and made a really good exfoliator while the minerals worked like a moisturizing oil that cleaned and made your skin really soft and nice. After I’ve exfoliated for a minute or two I rinsed it off and it left my skin really glowing and moisturized. I have dry skin so this is perfect for me, as I often are way too lazy to use lotion after I’ve showered.
The price for the scrub is right now only $15 (Right here), so its not bad att all and you need very little when using it so it will last long.
I received the Trilane Retinol + Vitamin C Moisturizer from Healthy Directions a few days ago to write up a product review. The Trilane Retinol + Vitamin C Moisturizer is an anti-aging moisturizer with Squalane offers, plus age-fighting and skin-renewing antioxidants. The anti-aging moisturizer contains several natural ingredients such as Licorice, Vitamin C, Squalane, Cucumber, Jojoba,Retinol and Pomegranates.
Now, my first impression is always determined by the design of the package and/or container of the product. The package was not so flattering by the fact of that there was bar stickers all over, and therefore, I wouldn’t include it in any photos. The container however, is very elegant and minimal at the same time. The squared bottle is not only good looking but functional as well. It will prevent the product from falling and rolling around.
