Curated for the person with a modern lifestyle, the A-sorted Subscription box differs from many other subscription boxes out there. And the best part is that it is only $29 with a value of over $100. The Women’s box covers items from Beauty, Skincare, Fashion, Wellness, and more. And the Men’s box includes Grooming Products, Fashion Accessories, Snacks, and more. I was thrilled to receive the Fall box which included items from seven different brands. Based out of Los Angeles each box is curated for quality. That is why the box is seasonal and is limited edition. Several brands in this box were new to me and I love discovering new brands and items. Isn’t it just the worst when you pay for a subscription box and get items that you already have or find it that other subscription boxes has the same items? Most of the items in the box were marked with either organic, vegan, cruelty free, natural ingredients and more. Which, I am totally for! We need to not only better our eating habits when it comes to vegetarianism/veganism but also think about the product that we buy and use.
*Please take in note that I am NOT vegan but sometimes make the vegan or vegetarian choices.
A-sorted box makes for an amazing gift for yourself or someone else. Right now you can get 50% off your entire order with code BLACK50. This is their Black Friday offer so act fast before the boxes run out!
I am also giving away some boxes, fill out the form at the bottom to enter!
I was super excited to receive the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Makeup Foundation in the mail from Octoly. I have heard a lot about the foundation, but I never got myself to pick it up. Supposedly it is proven to have a 24-hour long wear with a medium to full coverage. So, I decided to take it to the test! I have the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Flawless wear concealer and it is my absolute favorite concealer. So I have super high expectations for the foundation. As mentioned it has a medium to full coverage. The foundation is available in 38 different shades, ranging from fair to deep skin tones. Estée Lauder claims that it won’t change color, smudge or come off on clothes. Also that it lasts through heat and humidity with a flawless and natural look. It has a matte finish. The foundation retails for $42 for 30ml. I received the shade 3N1 Ivory Beige and at first look I thought that this would be too dark for my skin. But once I actually applied the foundation I think it blended in flawlessly with my skin. I applied the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Makeup Foundation with a Smashbox Blurring Foundation Brush for a light and natural finish. What I noticed was that the foundation would dry up pretty fast so I had to work with it one area at the time. It is definitely a medium to full coverage foundation that you can easily build up to a full coverage. It covered my redness and almost all of my brake outs.
What I enjoyed most was that even though it is a matte finished foundation it did not grab onto my dry areas. Something I have huge problems with is foundations that kind of makes my dry areas patchy. This did not do that at all. However, something that I did not like was that it doesn’t come with a pump. Not only does it waste product but the chances of your foundation to have more bacterias in it increases.
Besides from that it is really an amazing foundation, at least for me. Remember that not everyones skin concerns or needs are the same and not all products work the same from everyone. I would suggest to go to a store or counter to get a sample and try it out for a day before deciding to buy it. But for me this is definitely something I would buy again.
I received this product complimentary from Estee Lauder. All opinions are 100% my own.
Sephora recently had their 20% off VIB sale so I decided that I would purchase and discover some new products. Huda Beauty is on of the new brands at Sephora that I have yet to try up until now. Therefore I decided to buy the Eyeshadow Palette among a few other things from the brand. Huda is a huge beauty influencer, if you don’t know already who she is. Seeing all the gorgeous makeup looks she does and past photos of her products, I was confident in that I wouldn’t be disappointed in this palette. About two weeks ago I went to a super fun poolside event with Clinique here in Beverly Hills. We got to sip on drinks, eat breakfast and make our own ice cream macaroons while looking at all the Clinique news for the summer. We also got make overs and touch ups by Clinique consultants while discussing skin and makeup products.I got a ton of fun new items with me and I am gonna share my absolute favorites from Clinique that you need this summer. I also got to do this super fun and cool underwater shoot which I will show some pictures of lastly in the post.
I am gonna start with skin products because for me a good healthy base makes everything for when you do apply your makeup. I have not used a lot of Clinique skin care products before. I have tried the eye treatment cream as well as the makeup remover (which is awesome). I have extremely dry skin during the winter, and less, but still dry, skin during the summers. So, after discussing my skin and my problems with the Clinique consultants I got the 3-step kit with me home that was suited for my skin and its needs. I got to try both the liquid and the foam cleanser, and personally, I prefer the liquid formula. I just feel like it cleans more than the foam formula does. The foam would probably be good for days when i feel like I need something more gentle or just haven’t worn makeup on my face. Number 2 is considered the exfoliator and comes in 6 different formulas. It does sting a lot if you have brakeouts on your skin so be prepared for that as it is super strong. I think that it is important for you to discuss your skin and problems with a Clinique consultant to make sure you get the right one for your skin. And lastly you use the moisturizer which I absolutely LOVE. The moisturizer is my favorite of the 3-step products.
Secondly as summer is around the corner I cant tell you enough how important it is to wear sunscreen. Not only to avoid being burnt, but to avoid skin cancer, wrinkles, sun spots and other problems that can be caused by UV lights. Clinique has released a new sunscreen product: The Mineral Sunscreen is a super light, easy blendable, sunscreen with Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide which protects agains the UVB rays as well as UVA which are the lights that makes your skin age and get wrinkly. It comes in two sizes, one for body and one for face, and both are pretty sleek and good to-go and vacation sizes and it comes in SPF 30 or SPF 50.
Lastly lets talk some makeup. Because of the heat I like to stay as natural as possible. Because sweating happens to all of us and when its 40 degrees outside in LA, I don’t want to have a ton of makeup running over my face. I like to go all natural most of the times but sometime you want to put on some makeup too. Some of my favorite makeup products that I got to check out was definitely the Chubby In The Nude foundation stick (unfortunately I did not get it with me, but I have already ordered it for myself). It was so incredibly smooth, super light weight and gave a natural coverage without feeling heavy. Honestly. I didn’t feel it on my skin at all.
Okay, lets move on to the products that I actually got to bring with me home! The Pop Lip Colour + Primer Lipsticks definitely caught my eyes and I am so happy that I got to bring some of these babies with me home. The two favorite colors are Bare Pop and Cola Pop. Both very natural and not to bold – which is totally me! The lipsticks are highly pigmented, extremely smooth and super moisturizing. The finish has a nice sheen and the Bare Pop looks a lot like my own lip color so they are perfect for adding som moisture and just make it look like I have more of a gloss on my lips.
And lastly the Stay Matte Universal Blotting Powder. The Clinique consultants added this as a finish on my makeup and I just absolutely loved this as well. It gave me such a nice finish without creasing or patching skin.I love Clinique’s Blended Face Powder a lot but this one might knock it down on my favorites list.
And lastly, some photos from my Underwater Shoot!
This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Clinique. Some poducts shown or talked about in this post may have been given to me as a gift.
I just ordered this amazing rotating makeup tower storage from Amazon (this one) and it only costed me $23! I used to have all the makeup that I used the most, like every day stuff and my current favorites in a drawer. But it got so messy every time I used something and it started to get full as I added new items all the time. I wanted to have something that was more organized but didn’t take up too much space for my everyday makeup. Now of course this little tower holds way more makeup then the items i use “every day” so I filled it up with all my favorites so that I could easier get to them. The rest of my makeup is still stored away in all my drawers. If you guys are interested in seeing my full makeup collection or how I store it please do let me know! To see the full storage in action just watch the video i posted on my Instagram (bottom of post).
To me this is a perfect storage for my essentials and favorites. If you’re a makeup geek this will of course not suit your whole collection but I don’t keep all my makeup visible and like to keep my tables as clear as possible and rather store it away in all the drawers. Now the only thing I was a little disappointed in with this was that it didn’t spin that well. Like I have to push it for it to spin so I wished it would spin a little bit more by itself. But maybe it was just this specific one that don’t have that great spin. Other then that it wasn’t hard to assemble and the different compartments are just perfect for all my items.
The top has space for lipsticks and small items. I do actually already have a lipstick storage for all my lipsticks so I will probably re-arrange this and maybe put concealers and other stuff for my face on the top instead of lip products. Mostly because I cant fit all my lipsticks up there and my other lipstick holder is perfect in size for my favorite lipsticks. But, we will see how it turns out.
I am OBSESSED with my spinning makeup storage ?? I Keep the items I use the most here and the rest is stored in my drawers! Everything about it and where I got it for just $23 will be on my blog tonight (LINK IN PROFILE) ✨✨?? #makeup #makeupstorage #nyxcosmetics #lorac #anastasiabeverlyhills #smashboxcosmetics #urbandecaycosmetics #hourglass #maccosmetics #maclipstick #toofaced #yslbeauty
While at the airport in Mexico I could not handle myself from going into the MAC store. I blame having Ellie with me as the makeup freak she is as well. And I ended up buying a few things as I figured out that I would save a few bucks buying it there instead of here. But of course Whirl was sold out so I am going to have to order it and Im pretty sure I will do so any day now. Anyway, I decided to get two lip pencils as I have none from MAC, as well as two new lipsticks. If you follow me on Instagram you have already seen a picture of them but I purchased Kinda Sexy and Mocha and I am in Love with the colors. For the lip pencils I purchased Soar and Spice.
I have grown very found of lipsticks lately and especially the ones from MAC. I love how they have so many different finishes, matte, satin, lustre, amplified, among others. I can walk in and say that I want a matte lipstick and then I just browse through all the gorgeous shades, until I find one. Or, I can walk in and be like, I want a plum lipstick today. And I can find several purple lipsticks with different finishes and pick the one that I like the best. Sure, MAC is on the pricier side but if it is something that I love I don’t mind spending the extra bucks.

I just got the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette from Sephora the other day and oh boy how I have been longing for this palette. Ive been eyeing it since it came out and now I finally decided to get it. It retails at $54 just like all the other Naked palettes so its kind of pricey, but definitely worth it as I love these eyeshadows. The palette also include a double ended brush with one smudge brush and one crease brush which is great for any to go occasion.
Naked Smoky Design
Now the design of the palette is what I absolutely adore the most. I mean you just want to look at it! The other palettes designs are way simpler that this one, which have a smoke design and a much more deeper font style which kind of pops out. Everything from the packaging to the design is just absolutely gorgeous. Just like the Urban Decay Naked2 and Naked3 palette, the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette have a mirror on the full area of the inside of the lid.
Naked Smoky Shades
The palette contains of 12 different eyeshadow shades. 9 of them are completely new, never before seen shades, and 3 of them are exclusives. Now the thing about the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette is that it do not only have the smokey darker shades, but you also have some of the neutral lighter shades, as well as some more shimmery shades too. For me, this is absolutely the go to palette for any trip or night out. It has what you may need for your eyes and the colors are gorgeous!
Now I used the Smoky Smudger end of the included brush to show you guys the colors on my skin. The colors are in following order: High, Dirtysweet, Radar, Armor, Slanted, Dagger, Black Market, Smolder, Password, Whiskey, Combust and Thirteen. Now I did notice some pigment differences. the darker shades seemed to be more of a build up eyeshadow, which is great since you should be slow and careful when using darker shades. While the lighter ones got really strong pigments. For me this is absolutely not anything negative as I like to build up any darker colors that I do use just so that it won’t be too much at once.
Overall, Im super excited about the palette and Im sure that I will have a lot of fun experimenting with all the different shades. What I did forget to mention is that a little look book with 4 different smokey eyes and directions are included. This allows you to try out different types of smokey eyes and find out which one suits you the best. Now I got mine at Sephora because that is like my go to beauty store, but it is also available at ULTA, Macys, and Nordstrom but it retails for $54 at all these stores.
