The Happy Planner

I got the amazing Happy Planner from me & my BIG ideas and I have to say, it is so much fun! I got the 2015-2016 “Everyday is a gift” planner which is dated from July 2015 – December 2016, so you got this whole year, and the next whole year in it (18 months)! How great is that? And the best thing is that the planner is only 24.99, which I think is extremely affordable.

Each day in the Happy Planner has a vertical layout divided into 3 sections; morning, afternoon and evening. The vertical layout really helps staying organized and being creative with stickers and text which I love. A creative and fun planner is a planner that you want to look at. And, you can also change the cover of your planner, so it doesn’t have to look the same all the time. I instantly changed my cover and since I love change, I will probably change it again soon. You can get a set of 4 different covers for only 4.99.IMG_1356

As you can see, the package that I got was filled with so many fun items and is allowing me to be super creative with my Happy Planner! Not only did I get so many packages of amazing stickers, but I also got pocket folders, inspiration cards with a much of different cheering quotes that I can put into my calendar, notepads, sticky notes – super handy for school and a bunch of different fun items to decorate. There are letters, different quotes and up cheering words, reminder stickers and activity stickers to help me stay as organized as possible.

This is how my Happy Planner looks like for the week. Isn’t it fun to plan out your week and se a blank page just come together? I used a variety of stickers and since every sticker package has 6 sheets I’m not to worried about them running out. I love all the different designs that they have. I also put in a little inspiration card for myself that says “Every day is special”. I have a bunch of different ones and live to have one every now and then to remind and motivate me to be happy about life. This is the perfect planner to help me stay organized.

Back-to-school style with Marshalls and a Giveaway

So, I started school a few weeks back and the most fun about starting a new semester is definitely back to school shopping. Especially for new clothes! Marshalls is a great place to find great designer and brand items for less money, we all know the economy struggles as a college student by staying on a set budget. I went to the Marshalls closest to me, by Westfield Culver city, find your nearest store here.

Im sure that I wondered around the store for at least one hour. It is such a big store with so many things that it takes some good time to go through it. I was essentially looking for some statement items that I could use both in school and for my everyday activities. Something that I am very big on is bags and shoes, they are essential and I prefer the ones that are easy to match with a lot of things. Luckily I managed to get a gorgeous pair of designer shoes in a snake print faux suede with me and a designer leather bag for at least half price off the regular price! You can see the bag right here, I was really looking for something simple, yet with a little twist. Simple enough to  match with any outfit, but not too boring.

The top that I am wearing to the right is also from Marshalls, a real steal if you ask me and the turtleneck is so in season, and here to stay for a little while! The fact that it is a tank top is so suiting for the California weather, and as it starts to get cooler outside I can just throw a leather jacket over it.I found a few other top s at Marshalls as well for great prices, if you look long enough you can really find som essential fall style pieces that you will love.

To the left is a gorgeous blazer like top that I found, perfect to trow onto any easy outfit to make it look a little bit more stylish. I think this one was only 25 dollars, while the top was 12. Real deals if you ask me! To find more style tips visit Marshalls Style Inspiration board here.

These designer shoes were probably my favorite, and even though they costed a little penny they were still so much more affordable at Marshalls then they would have been otherwise. I love the style of the boots and not only will they go well this fall or winter, but at any season any year. They are timeless and for me they will always be in style.

I also want to let you guys know that I am giving away 2 gift cards to Marshalls. They are both valued at $50 each and to win them simply leave a comment and let me know what your fall essential is! I will pick 2 winners September 30.

#GearUpForCollege with Office Depot and OfficeMax

For me, the first school week has been full of new information and a lot of walk throughs of what this semester is gonna be all about. Thankfully I went to Office Depot to gear up just to make sure I was prepared and organized to start another year at college! I have several classes that are around three hours long, so what makes school more fun? Cute stuff! I discovered that Office Depot had so many cute things because Office Depot have a Fashion Supplies category with really cool designs to great prices. Now, I was personally struck by the Gold Collection as it was super minimal and so my style. So, I geared up on a bunch of things from the Gold Collection and I got everything that I needed for a fare share! If the minimal and light isn’t your thing, they also have a Metallic Pop collection that is way more colorful!

I just loved the minimal and light notebooks that Office Depot offered. The gold and white are totally me and (not showed in picture) I also got a smaller notebook in the same print. These pencils that comes in a pack of eight are just so adorable, and the best thing is that they come in a case as well so I can just keep the pens with me all the time in my bag. I have already used all my notebooks, one for each class as I have 3 classes on campus. Having different ones makes it so much easier for me to know which one that goes to which class. Don’t you agree with me? I mean, If you have notebooks that all looks the same, which one is the right one to your class? You’ll only know by looking inside of them.

I also geared up on some folders and paper pockets for my loose papers. I also got a smaller binder and a bunch of paper to put inside of it so that I can write anything that I need to have written down in there. I am really big on being organized and making sure I have everything in place where it needs to be. If I am not organized, hell breaks loose. I have one thing of each to every class and I have english Lit this semester, so I am sure that there will be a bunch of loose paper handed to me, but also a lot of writing that I will be doing myself.

Something else that I like is that Office Depot also have a lot of office supplies to stay organized at your workspace. So I got myself some paper clips just in case. I always find myself needing this, but then I don’t have any. So far they have been nothing but helpful keeping all my papers together and organized.

Now I went to two different Office Depot stores just to make sure that I got everything that I needed. Some stores runs out of things which is kind of disappointing but I was lucky enough to find what I needed. I also know that you can shop at Office Depot and OfficeMax online store because there they have everything! But in the stores they had some really good deals as well, and I like to go to the stores and see the products that I am buying. I strongly recommend you to visit a Office Depot and OfficeMax store or check them out online because they have some really good items!

First day of school

Today fall semester finally started. I am so excited for this fall as I have an awesome schedule and only have 4 classes each week ( and one class online). Time wise Im going to have so much more time to do what I want to do and focus on besides froms school. Im taking mostly interesting and fun classes that I not only need, but also want to take this semester. Hopefully it won’t be as crazy and stressful as some other semesters has been for me.

I know I haven’t take any outfit pictures lately, Im not so sure I want to bring up the reason to why. But lets say that taking photos on the street where I live haven’t been such a pleasant experience, which is so chocking to me as it is so many families and super safe here… I have decided to give it another shot, but it will mean that I probably won’t be taking more photos on any streets where there is high traffic. Just so I get settled and comfortable doing it again. I have never anywhere else in this city felt so (I don’t even know what word to use) just because I’m standing there taking photos of myself. And the worst part is that there is nothing I can do to make these people realize that what they’re doing is wrong.

Back to School: The ultimate guide

The day that  I go back to school is just around the corner! Monday is my day and I could not feel better about going back to school after having some time off. Now this is my third year in college, so I do have some experience about what to expect the first day. I would say that you can not prepare enough, especially if you are starting at a new school. Now lucky for me I am stil at the same school but that will probably change in the future, so I wanted to share some of my best back to school advices and how you can prepare for it.

What to wear

Remember that you should always be yourself! But as a first day I would say, wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident! I usually lay out what Ive been thinking about wearing for my first day together with a few options of shoes. The pick of shoes are always different depending on what mood I have in the morning.  Now personally I would go easy and safe and focus more or less on the school day and not think so much about how I look.

What to bring

You can never be too prepared, especially if you don’t know whats coming. I always make sure to have at least one block of paper to each subject and pens, lots of pens. Bringing my planner is also something I do on a regular basis just to write down any tests or deadlines in advance to make sure Im following the class. Getting back to school can be a good or a bad thing, but make sure that you are prepared in the best way to make this semester great.

How to prep at home

Oh man, I will probably spend every awaken hour at home on Sunday doing all of this above and the following. So for some weird reason I always care more the first day that I go back to school how I look. For example I can’t brush or floss my teeth too many times. I always makes face, and hair masks so that I will feel refreshed and moisturized. But most importantly, I make sure to shave every part of my body that I feel needs to be shaved. I honestly don’t know why shaving makes you feel so much better, its just hair, right? But feeling that your legs are silky smooth brings out some kind of confidence that I can’t explain. I have been using Schick Hydro Silk Disposable Razor for a while now and I absolutely love it. Not only does it work really well, it also helps moisturize your skin leaving it super smooth after shaving.

I can recommend having all your bath essentials in a shower caddy so you don’t forget anything.
