I am partnering up with Fab.com and they were kind enough to let me choose a few items from their website. On the website they have a selection of several amazing and unusual designers to make your home more special. I decided to go with a few small items to decorate my new home and make it look nicer and a little bit more modern. Now, there are so many more ways to make your home look more inviting but these are a few simple and small things that I did to make me feel more at home, in my new home.
Switch out your desk lamp.
Before I got this lamp I had one form IKEA. Kind of rustic but very boring and simple. This lamp brings dimensions and adds a really nice and unique touch to the whole desk area. The lamp can als be used as a ceiling lamp. The lamp is form he designer Artecnica and sells for $104, unfortunately this particular one seems to now be out of stock. It drew my attention the most but they have a ton of other lamps similar to this one as well as some very cool neon sign lamps. Find more at Fab.com under Home and Lightning.
Add some decorative Bath Salts.
I wanted to add something to my thumb for the bathroom. I have a huge empty space around my tub and whats more perfect then some decorative bath salts? I thought that these Bath Decorations from Mullein & Sparrow were so adorable and the kit comes with a Bath Salt, a Rose Hydrosol and a Body Oil. This particular set sells for $60 and also comes in Lavender. Mullein & Sparrow have a ton of other things such as beautiful pink bath salt and exfoliants. You can find these under Womens Skin Care & Beauty.
A useful decoration.
Last but not least is this pineapple tumbler from W&P Design. I just absolutely love to look at this, and I have been wanting one for as long as I can remember. This particular one is the smaller 12oz version in copper ($35). It also comes in gold and in a larger 16oz gold version which also includes a straw ($99). This alone is gorgeous to have just as a decoration, but if you want to be extra fancy it also works as a cup and cupholder. Find it under Home Kithcen & Dining.
You can also win a $1000 shopping spree at Fab.com. Simply fill out the form HERE.
Hey guys. It’s been a while since I’ve updated but due to recent events I needed some time off. Moving into the new house has taken up a lot of time as well. One of the things that I did here was setting up a whole new work and makeup area since I have a bigger room now then before. And I though I would show you how you easily can set upp this vanity mirror system by yourself. Best of all is that the lights turns on an off with a remote, which is optional but a really smart solution. Lets begin!
The things that you will need is:
- A mirror
- Vanity light bars
- Light Bulbs
- Picture and frame hangers (or hardware)
- Extension cords
- Remote Lamp Control
- Outlet adapter or extension cord (to connect lights to the wireless remote)
- Scissors and screwdriver
First of all you need to find a mirror of size and style that you like and that will fit on your wall. I purchased a frameless mirror from Lowes for a really good price. the size of this one is 30×36 inches and costed me about 28 dollars! Instead of using hardware to put it up, I used 4 picture and frame hangers that i bought at target. As you can see I chose to hang the mirror a little bit above the table so place yours at your liking. I chose a slightly bigger mirror just because my wall is really big and empty, it just filled it up nicely. Lets move on to wiring the light bars.
What you want to do first is separating the extension cord and the plug that is attached to it by cutting it off, you will not need the plug! Then, split the 2 cords and with a scissor cut off about an inch of the rubber, but do not cut off the copper thread! As you can see on the cord, one wire is completely smooth while one wire has raised ridgets. This will tell you which cord goes into black and which goes into the white cord on your vanity light bar. The cord with raised ridgets goes into white, and the smooth cords goes into black. As you can see here below this is what it will look like when you attach them. spin together the copper wires and remember to put on the plastic caps. This is extremely important so that the white and the black cords don’t touch each other. It might cause a fire.
After attaching the light bar to the extension cords you may put in your light bulbs and try it out to make sure that everything works! When it comes to picking light bulbs choose light bulbs that doesn’t produce yellow light, as you may see these bulbs have a blue tint which is ideal for makeup light. They are a bit more expensive then regular bulbs but a good investment. I bough my light bulbs at Lowes.
I ordered the light bars at Amazon (link) simply because I wanted to have one long bar on each side of my mirror that were the same height as my mirror (36 inches). Now what bars you choose is completely up to you and depends on how you want it. You can choose to do like me, have shorter bars or even have lightning that goes all around your mirror. I attached these with the hardware that was included which only was 2 screws for each bar. Super simple and I recommend to attach the “bottom” part before attaching the top part of the bar as well as the lights to secure it to the wall.
I really hoped that this helped someone out there. If anything is unclear please leave a comment and I will update the post as well as answer your questions! And if you did try this out, please share photos or let me know, I love to see what others do as well.
I know its been kind of quiet around my social medias but its only because we recently got approved for a new house and we ar moving in less than 2 weeks! I have so much to do!! I cannot express how excited an happy I am about this house. Its going to be marvelous and I am already planning and thinking about every little detail that I am going to do. If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat you have already gotten a little sneak peak of the house.
I am finally going to have a closet again, this time an amazing walk in closet. And my own bathroom that has a jacuzzi bath. Ugh all the lush bombs I will buy. But the biggest thing that I am excited about is my workspace and my makeup space. I have been looking at so much inspiration on how I want it and how to storage all my stuff because now it is a total chaos. I hope that you all understand that it is a stressful time right now. I am going to try to update as much as possible but please bare with me during this time. It will be so much better once I have moved!
Here are some Workspace and Beauty space ideas that I just wanted to share with you. You can find them all on my Pinterest.
Every year it gets harder and harder to tell people what I want for Christmas, especially since Im able to make my own money and buy whatever I want. I also find it extremely hard to buy present for others as well. Buying present and making someone else happy is the best thing I know of. I will splurge more on the people that mean the world to me rather then on myself.

Starting off with beauty gifts we have the Prada’Candy’ Eau de Parfum Collector’s Edition (Limited Edition) ($114). I have the Prada Candy Perfume and I absolutely love it so therefore I would not mind having a pretty gold bottle among my perfume collection either. Second is another perfume and it is the Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau De Parfum ($25-$115). It smells so good and is definitely one of my top perfumes that I would recommend not only to myself but also to by for someone else. New in stores is the Fresh Cocoa Body Exfoliant ($45) and I just love Fresh. I use their face moisturizer daily and it is just an amazing brand. Thereafter something that is so in trend right now and so gorgeous is rose gold shadows. I chose one which is a little bit cheaper but amazing which is the Colourpop La La rose gold in an Ultra Metallic Finish ($5) and also if you feel like splurging a little bit you can get the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Scratch ($19).
Moving on to some of my fashion mut-haves or wanties a fur coat is everything and you need to have at least one in your closet. This Oversized Faux Fur Coat from DKNY is currently on sale so take the opportunity! Secondly I love a good pair of pumps and these Open Toe Pumps from Nine West (NOW $49.99) are not only gorgeous but so easy to wear. Splurge real good on a nice watch and spoil yourself, or a loved one because what do girls love more then diamonds? This Two-Tone Gold Diamond Watch from MICHELE is a bit pricy, but if you want to gift a nice watch from MICHELE you can mix and match bracelets and watch heads as you want and skip the diamonds if it isn’t within your price range. The Blouse from H&M Studio has been one of my absolute obsessions that Ive wanted to get for so long and it is also below $100. Finishing off with some must-have bags is a really nice Leather Messenger Bag from ZARA with a gorgeous feather detail and finally if you are more on the splurge side the oh so classic and beautiful Saint Laurent Sac De Jour Nano leather shoulder bag which is the mini version of the tote.

I have never in my life owned a memory foam mattress, so this to say it is an odd feeling sleeping on one now. Eve Mattress has just launched in the US and I was so lucky to receive one of their mattresses. A good mattress is so important for you, more then you think. When I started my health journey I did not only change my food or my exercising routine. I also needed to make sure that I got the sleep that I needed because sleep is key to a healthy life. It is told to help us train harder, concentrate better, stay positive, lose weight, improve our learning ability and memory, lower stress and live longer. Which are some great benefits!
The mattress comes rolled in a nice little eve box which is white and yellow. It was much heavier then I thought it would be but I managed to move around the box and get the mattress out myself! I simply placed the mattress on my bed frame and started to remove the plastic, it easily started to spread out on the bed frame once all the plastic wrap had been removed. But there was one problem – the mattress was too big! Maybe like 3/4 inches because as it seems. After some digging around I found out that IKEA has smaller beds!! So my bed frame is NOT 54×74 , it is 53 1/8×74 3/8. WHAT? Luckily I could tuck in the mattress in my bed frame but beware if you are buying bed frames from IKEA but not mattresses! It gets a little bit tight on the sides.
I have only slept on my Eve mattress for three night now and to be honest I feel that I have been getting much better sleep. The mattress is still a little bit hard but it is starting to soften up. I usually only sleep on one side of the bed so when I move to the other side it feels a little bit strange. The mattress has 3 different layers and foams – bottom layer is a 17cm ultra-resilient base foam, the middle layer is made from 4cm highest quality, luxurious memory foam and the top layer is 4cm natural latex which is antimicrobial and adds bounce.
It seems as both me and puppy approves! Right now as a launch campaign you get $100 off your Eve mattress with code RT100. Take the opportunity now because you also get 100 days to try the mattress, and if you don’t like you can return it and get fully refunded.
Keeping your home isn’t always easy when you have carpets everywhere. Especially not when you have a little furry friend that runs around leaving dirt and hair everywhere. I got to try the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet in my home which I am so grateful for, and really happy because now I have an amazing Carpet vacuum to use in my home! I cannot describe how much cleaner my home looks now after using the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet and I was truly grossed out by how much dirt my regular vacuum cleaner didn’t pick up.
I used the deep cleaning mode together with BISSELL Deep Clean + Antibacterial formula that came in the package on the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet to clean out the carpets in our house. Not only did it dig out the dirt and dust that were in there. It also dug out so much hair from my dog that I didn’t even know existed in the carpet, leaving it super fresh and clean after cleaning. There were hairballs left everywhere that I had to vacuum up afterwards but that really showed me how deep the dual powerbrushes goes. It also helped a lot with removing spots, I didn’t even have to use the spot cleaning tool, the deep cleaning mode on the cleaner was enough to remove the spots on my carpet.
Before and after. This spot was from when my pup had eaten something and had to throw up.

Compared to the carpet cleaner that I used the last time to clean the carpet, the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet worked much, much better! This time the carpet actually looks clean and nice. The competitive brands cleaner was not only big, clumsy and heavy. Also, the other brand product didn’t seem to make a difference and the carpet still looked unclean. (And its supposed to be the leading brand, hah). Can you see how nice and clean my bedroom carpet looks? It has never been this clean from the day that I moved in. The carpets were dry within 2-3 hours which was great. This allowed me to clean it during the day and still being able to do other things around the house.
I used the hose, which you can attach to the cleaner, to clean out our living room couch. It is actually a really nice couch from Urban Home and the pillows are attached to the couch so there are no way that you can remove anything and wash it. We haven’t cleaned it since we got it which is really bad and it showed from cleaning it. Instantly there were dirt, dust, showing up in the hose which really grossed me out. I used the Express cleaning mode to clean out spots on the couch which worked wonderfully! Using the expressmode allowed it for dry within an hour.

And now you have the chance to win a wonderfull BISSELL bundle yourself (including a BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet and BISSELL Deep Clean + Antibacterial formula). There will be 2 winners across the bloggers that have done tis review. And all that you have to do for a chance to win the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet and BISSELL Deep Clean + Antibacterial formula is to leave a comment telling me you favorite spring cleaning tips, BISSELL will go through the comments and choose winners.
[ts_row] [ts_one_half]I was invited to a DIY event with Teva, Swarovski and HonestlyWTF at Nordstrom last week. This is my absolute first pair of Teva sandals and they are so simple, yet so great! On their website there are tons of styles but the one that you will be seeing in this post is the Teva X HonestlyWTF DIY kit sandals. Every each and one of us that were invited got a kit and we were allowed to not only design them ourselves. We also got to meet and get professional help by the co founder Erica. She showed us a bunch of things that we could to design our shoes and it was so much fun!
I was really surprised by how easy it was to attach all the crystals. Most of them were already pre-glued and you only needed to use heat and pressure to attached them to the sandal straps. This can easily be made at home with a straightening iron. Some of the crystals were attached with glue since they were much bigger. What you could do with your design was truly unlimited and no sandal looked like the other. It was such a fun event and great experience as I don’t take the time to sit down and do a lot of DIY anymore.I really get into the zone when Im focused on something and people even commented on my quietness and that I seemed so focused on it.
If you would like to buy a pair you can choose from the original sandals ($90) or a platform sandal ($100) and they come with the full kit of Swarovski crystals, DIY tools, embroidery floss and a little handbook to guide you through your project.[/ts_one_half] [ts_one_half]
[ts_row] [ts_two_third] [image_gallery images=”6203:http://www.reduxsquad.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/2015-11-04-17.04.28.jpg,6201:http://www.reduxsquad.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/2015-11-04-16.52.08.jpg,6318:http://www.reduxsquad.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_0482.jpg,6319:http://www.reduxsquad.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_0481.jpg,” ][/image_gallery] [/ts_two_third] [ts_one_third] So here you have the little kit with everything that you get. We got the original sandals to design. As you see theres not a lot of things that are required to start this project and the only additional thing you need is something to apply heat and pressure. Of course you can also decide to pimp out your sandals a little bit extra buy getting some additional crystals to glue on! I might actually do that now that I mention it. Also you will see some examples that the lady herself, Erica, made and at then lastly you have my sandals!
Do you own a pair of Teva’s? [/ts_one_third] [/ts_row]
Fall is like one of my absolute favorite season because it starts to get all cold an cozy. Of course I had to go into one of my favorite stores Bath & Bodyworks and buy myself some fall candles. I haven’t been to Bath & Bodyworks in like forever. I used to go all crazy in that store because ot the great offers that they have and I would always go back because I would get like 20% off coupons and stuff.
I got 3 new candles this time and kinda just wanted a few for the fall and winter to lit up. I got the Pumpkin Pecan & Waffles, Marshmallow Fireside and Buttercream Icing. Holy moly how sweet they smell! I also liked a whole lot of other candles but settled for these three for now.
