Training with my PT

One of my closest friends here recently got his PT certificate so I’ve decided to start training with him. A few days ago we did a test run and I love it. We used to workout together basically everyday so it feels good. I know that I’m already fairly active, at least much more then I used too but I want to take it even higher.

Do the 30 day plank challenge with me!

Hey guys, hope you all had a great weekend. Here is a challenge I want you to do with me!

If you don’t have MyFitnessPal on your phone yet, GET IT. It is great for keeping an overview of you daily exercise and food intake. (It counts your daily steps through your phone) And you can set up your fitness goals through it, all for free!  Whats even better about it is that they have a blog, which you can see all the updates on through your phone. They update about training, health and shares great recipes to try out. The latest post is a 30 day plank challenge which I want all of you to join me on!

Take a piece of paper, or a journal and write down your time before starting the challenge and then on the last day of each week, the goal is to plank for as long as you can, holding it longer and longer as the challenge goes on and timely build up your core. Remember, core is not only your abs but also butt, back and hamstrings! 

You can save this picture for yourself or write down all the days. Keep in mind that every week have different rest guides that should be followed.

Keep these things in mind as you progress through the challenge:

  • Practice proper form above all else.
  • Each week will get progressively harder.
  • At the end of each week, you’ll test to see how long you can hold a plank.
  • Rest days are a must—these allow your body to recover and get stronger.
  • Schedule time on your calendar each day to get your workout in.
  • Adjust the time you hold the plank and the rest intervals (either increase or decrease one or both) depending on your fitness level.
  • All of these exercises can be done at home without any equipment.

Friday Night Dinner – Bagatelle

This is quite an unusual post from me, but you guys want to see more of my life and this is me sharing more of my life!

Last night we surprised and celebrated Anna for her upcoming 23rd birthday. We went to dinner at Bagatelle in West Hollywood with a bunch of friends and it turned out amazing. Bagatelle is a French Restaurant, but every friday they have special Friday dinner parties with special themes. Yesterday it was Rio/Carnival and all the waiters were dressed up and there were dancers there.

The food was so good, we got appetizers, salad, pizza and garlic fries and then we got an entree of chicken and meat and of course we finished off with a birthday cake! Definitely want to go back there soon!

Fashion For Breakfast / WhoWhatWear

Tur som jag har så var jag ledig från skolan denna Torsdagen, annars hade jag aldrig haft möjlighet att gå på ännu en frukost. Jag älskar verkligen atmosfären och hur fint det är på Cecconi’s! Allra finast är ju marmorborden, men de finns det tyvärr väldigt få utav och är i stort sett alltid reserverat för de som hostar frukosten. Denna gången var det WhoWhatWear som hostade och bland annat pratade om hur det är att starta och jobba bakom en sån stor blogg och det företag som det blivit.

As lucky as I am I had a day off from school this Thursday, which ment that I was able to go to this weeks breakfast event.I really love the atmosphere and how lovely Cicconis are. The most gorgeous is definitely the marble tables and details, sadly the marble tables are very few and almost always reserved for the hosts. This time WhoWhatWear hosted this morning breakfast and they talked about how it is to start a successful blog and business.

Så många goda frukostar att välja mellan, kaffe eller te bjuds man på också och allt kostar 15 dollar med dricks och allt inräknat. Det är verkligen en super ide att marknadsföra både restaurangen, företaget FashionForBreakfast samt de som hostar frukostarna. Bland annat så har jag varit där då Anine Bing hostat, Rumi Neely, Pret-A-Reporter och många andra fantastiska personer inom modevärlden som på något sätt lyckats och delat med sig av sina bästa tips.

There are so many different delicious breakfasts to choose from, coffee and tee are also complementary to the breakfast with a standing price of only 15 dollars. It is truly a great ide to promote the restaurant ad the businesses or people hosting the breakfasts. Amon the hosts there have been Anine Bing, Rumi Neely, Pret-A-Reporter and many other successful people in the fashion industry to share their best tips and their stories.

Denna gången tog jag Bagel med rökt lax, mjuk ost och grönsaker, så himla gott och fräscht!

This time i ordered the bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese and veggies, so good! 

Vietnamese Meatball Pho

Ett snabbt, enkelt, friskt och gott recept på Pho som innehåller ca 300 kalorier bara per portion. (Här i USA är en portion som två för mig, minst) Innehåller biff, vitlök, pulverlök, ingefära, lime, jalapeno, Pho koncentrat, ris nudlar, kinakål och ströbröd. (Toppad med lite mint) Koka ihop allt och så har man sedan en god soppa 😀

A fast, healthy and easy recipe on pho that isn’t too bad in calories, approximately 300 per serving. (One US serving is like two for me) It contains of Ground Beef, Scallions, Garlic, Ginger, Stock Concentrate, Rice Noodles, Baby Bok Choy, Mint, Jalapeño, Lime and Panko. Cook it all together, top with lime and mint and voila! Pho Soup. 

Breakfast Time – Banana Oatmeal

IMG_8867 IMG_8877 IMG_8878Untitled-1Min roomie Lensa tipsade om ett super enkelt och gott sätt att äta havregrynsgröt. Jag tycker egentligen inte om det alls och brukade dränka det i sylt, äppelmos eller socker för att kunna äta det. Men nu har jag lärt mig ett supergott recept som är ätbart! Mosa bara bananen, ha i lite kokosolja och toppa gröten sedan med valfria frukter, nötter eller annat som du vill ha på! Jag gör dessutom i stort sett varenda morgon färskpressad grape och apelsinjuice som är så lätt och gott. Dricker även detox te flera gånger om dagen numera.

My roomie Lensa taught me a new way o eat oatmeal, usually i can’t even eat it because i don’t like it and drench it in whatever sugary i have at home, but now i know a healthy and tasty way to eat it! Just mash the banana into the oatmeal and put in some coconut oil, finish off with toppings of your choice. Fruits, nuts or something else healthy and tasty. I also make fresh pressed grapefruit and orange juice almost every morning, beats the bough ones by miles! I also have  few cups of detox tea every day.

Fashion For Breakfast with Rumi Neely “Fashion Toast”

Nytt år betyder nya äventyr och fler frukostevent. Detta var verkligen det bästa än så länge! Ingen mindre än Rumi Neely, skaparen utav en utav de första modebloggarna Fashion Toast hostade och hon visade även upp sin senaste kollektion! Så himla inspirerande, inte bara som bloggare utan som affärskvinna också!

New year means new adventurers and more breakfast events. This was by so far the best of theres events that I have attended. No other then Rumi Neely, creator of the fashionblog Fashion Toast was the hostess and she also showed us her latest collection. She was so inspiring, not only as a blogger but also businesswoman.

Vi har äntligen flyttat och börjat att stadga oss. Gjorde iordning en supersnabb hälsosam och god lunch idag. Olika soters sallad, spenat, kål, avocado, torkade körsbär, pekannötter, feta ost och bara vanlig rökt lax! Så himla gott och går superfort att fixa.

We have finally moved in and are staring to settle down. Made myself a super tasty and healthy lunch today. Different greens like spinach and kale, avocado, dried cherries, pecans and some few cheese with smoked salmon on the side. Its so fast and easy to prepare, yet so jummy!
