It’s been a while since I posted now and there is really no other reason than life got busy. Going back to being a full-time student I am still trying to get into the groove. While also trying to make time to cook my own food and going to the gym regularly. Right now my number one priority is my diet. What I eat. How I eat. Supplements have become a big part of my diet so today I am going to talk probiotics with you.
What are probiotics?
Probiotics are live bacteria and yeast that are great for your health. Especially your digestive system. Even though probiotics are a bacteria, it’s a good bacteria. There are two different groups of probiotics. Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. Lactobacillus is most common and can be found in several different fermented foods like yoghurt. Probiotic can also be found in whole grains, bananas, onions, garlic, honey and artichokes.
What are the benefits of probiotics?
So now that you know a little bit of probiotics. What are really the benefits of probiotics?
- It helps you colon digest and work properly.
- It can reduce symptoms of IBS.
- It might help you with your urogenital health.
- Reduce the severity of colds and flu.
- It might help you with your skin problems.
- It can boost your immune system.
And the list goes on when it comes to the benefits of probiotics.
