Favorite skincare items and my routine.

I haven’t always been one to take specially good care of my skin. Genetically I have extremely amazing skin. I rarely get any breakouts. I don’t have any texture. And, the only thing that I really am dealing with is some minor redness. But, as I am becoming older. And since my interest in beauty has grown progressively. I’m now obsessed with skincare and really interested in not only using, but also learning about the benefits of using them. So, I have rounded up some of my absolute favorite skin care items. These are the ones that I am using the most at the moment. I always recommend you to pick up samples of all of these items. Firstly to try them out and also to make sure you won’t have any allergic reaction to the product. As usual, all the items talked about will be linked in this post. And at the bottom I will have a shop this post gallery.

Starting of, of curse Im using a cleanser. If I have had a lot of makeup on during the day I always double cleanse. Mu favorite since I first tried it has been the Laneige Multi Cleanser. It just simply removes absolutely everything including my eye makeup. And I won’t look like a panda after washing my face. During the colder fall and winter days I also like to use a hydrating cleanser so I have the Glamglow ThirstyMud Daily Hydrating Cleanser on hand whenever I feel a little bit dry. This travel size has lasted me since last year!

Almost everyday I will use my Clarisonic with my cleanser. I purchased my very first Clarisonic Plus two years ago and have been loving it ever since. I have also during the time received a Clarisonic Mia Fit*. And recently Clarisonic sent me the Clarisonic Mia 2*. But they are all different. Clarisonic Plus is a little bit larger than Mia 2, making it easier to get a grip and it is my preferred one to use at home. Mia 2 is smaller and perfect for when I’m going over to a friends house or a shorter trip. Mia Fit is great for longer trips when I need more space for packing. Using a Clarisonic has definitely improved my skin and helped me get clearer and healthier looking skin.

Once or twice a week I will use an exfoliator to make sure I get rid of some of the dead skin that builds up. I tend to use more gentle exfoliators with smaller pearls. I really like the Murad AHA/BHA exfoliating Cleanser. But, I don’t use it too often because it has salicylic acid, lactic acid, and glycolic acid in it. Acids like this are in general not great for your skin and can make it appear as if it looks better than it actually is. Bliss Micro Magic* however does not contain any acids and is really great to exfoliate with. It is even so gentle that it could be used every day. Ingredients like peppermint and lavender may cause a slight tingle or allergic reactions.

Between Facials

Do we all have money and time to go and do facial treatments every 6 week? Probably not, and if you do lucky you! To keep my skin fresh and to remove dead skinless without using harsh acids and peels I use the SESHA Renu Exfoliating Gel. This is truly pure magic and I discovered it when I first got a sample in a beauty box over 2 years ago. I cant explain how amazing this really is. It just removes ALL dead skin on my face, it doesn’t scrub like a normal exfoliator does. And no red faces after using it. It is true magic and this will always be a favorite skincare item of mine. I use this once every 2 weeks or so when I feel the need to refresh my skin a little bit extra. The bottle cost $42 but lasts forever. It can be purchased at SESHA exclusively.

Face Masks

Different face masks are needed for different occasions. Im not a huge fan of sheet masks personally and would rather go with a mud mask. After the huge rave about Glamglow I had to try some of them. Last year I purchased on of the holiday sets where I got a full sized Glamglow Thirstymud which is the hydrating mask. And with that I also got a travel size of the Glamglow Supermud, which I later on purchased a full-sized. I love using the Thirstymud when my skin gets larger pores or a few brakeouts and its great for spot treatment as well. The Thirstymud is a favorite during fall and winter because my skin gets so dry as the weather gets colder. Lately I have also ben loving the fresh Umbrian Clay Purifying Mask* that they sent to me.

Something that I think a lot of people oversee is the toner. Using a toner has several benefits, some including removing excess oils and dead skin. Hydrating the skin. Optimizing the pH level. Adding a extra protecting layer and preparing your skin for the moisturizer. Im currently using the LAGOM Cellus Mist Toner* from Even though the name is extremely Swedish (lagom means not too much, not to little). It is a Korean beauty brand. The toner mist is full of natural antioxidants to help the skin getting hydrated and stay clear. Can be purchased exclusively at

And lastly we come to the moisturizer. fresh Lotus youth Preserve Face Cream has been a favorite as well ever since receiving a travel size. It doesn’t fell sticky after applying and the skin absorbs it really well. This one does not have any SPF in it so I always make sure to add that as well. Face creams is something that I am in particular picky about and I rarely come across any that I like as much as this one! That is why I have been using up 3 jar of this so far and as you can see, Im almost running out again. img_6144

  1. Ah babe thanks so much for sharing your skin care routine with us!
My favourite skin care item would definitely have to be an exfoliator… I find that if I don’t exfoliate in over two weeks, I get a lot of dry patchy areas on my skin. Sometimes I create my own DIY exfoliating serum where I mix sugar, honey and olive oil!
Thanks for a great read babe

  2. I can relate to this because I really never paid a lot of attention to my skin and I haven’t had any problems but I do feel I’m at the age where I should try a regular regimen. I never tried toner before but this seems like a really great one as well as the lotus youth preserve cream .

  3. I’m such an avid believer of good skin care and I always double cleanse. Haha. Even if I’m not even wearing any bb cream or foundation. The downside is, my skin is usually overtly dry. I think I’m going to give that Sesha exfoliating gel a try. Thanks for sharing!

  4. So jealous of your naturally awesome skin! I’m a big fan of double cleansing also. I like to use an oil to clean off my make up and then a cleanser with some stronger acids. I’ve used the Murad one before, it’s pretty good! I usually look for something with glycolic acid.

A lot of these products you use I have heard of and have tried but some are new to me and I can’t wait to look them up and give them a try. Clarisonic is my best friend and I have been using it for so many years. I love the Glam Glow products as well. Thanks for sharing your routine! xoxo, Christine
