PÜR Hydrafluid Water Serum Foundation

A few weeks ago I received the full range of PÜR Hydrafluid Water Serum Foundation to test out. This is honestly my first product from PÜR which I am really excited about. I have lately been loving all the new foundations that are being released and since I would normally go for a very natural everyday look and don’t need a lot of coverage I was extremely excited about the PÜR Hydrafluid Water Serum Foundation which is claimed to have a medium coverage. But, the best part is that it is extremely hydrating because it has water form the Swiss Alps. Suits perfectly for someone that have dry, or combination skin, to hydrate.

The PÜR Hydrafluid Water Serum Foundation comes in 5 shades, Light, Medium, Tan, Dark and Deep. I have seen a major change in the beauty industry lately for all the beautiful people with darker skin as more and more brands are developing darker colors and wider ranges of shades. I was however very surprised by how dark these shades are in general. Usually I am a Medium and sometimes even a Tan. but in this case with the PÜR Hydrafluid Water Serum Foundation the shade Light fit me perfectly. So if you have more of a fair skin tone, I will have to disappoint you and say that there is not a shade available for you unless you have at least a light/medium skin tone. I hope, and expect that PÜR will expand their range in the future. It does also oxidize a little bit, so before going ahead and being anything walk around for about 10 minutes with a tested shade on your face to make sure you get the right shade.

I will gnormally go over my face with a green Color Corrector for my redness before going in with a CC cream or foundation. (I have been liking this one from L’Oréal lately).  Many days I go only with a CC, or BB cream because the light coverage is enough for me. If you are looking for a medium/full coverage foundation this product is not for you. The formula itself is already extremely light and almost like water, but if you are looking for a lighter to medium coverage foundation this might be the one. You can build up coverage but it will not go to a full coverage because of the light formula.

From left to right, Deep, Dark, Tan, Medium, Light.

The first thing that I reacted to when i opened the tube was the applicator. It looks a lot like a dropper only that it is already attached to the tube and you squeeze out the product. According to PÜRs directions only 2-3 drops will be enough to cover your face. And believe me, even though the formula is extremely light a little goes a huge way. If you scroll down to the last picture you will see how much products only 2 drops actually gives you. So I would suggest you to be cautious and do one drop at a time. Shake the tube well before squeezing out any product so that the water blends with the rest of the formula.

The foundation itself feels very smooth and natural. The finish looks more like a natural healthy and glory skin and you can barely feel on your face that you are wearing any makeup. The foundation does not have any SPF in it so during the hot summer days when I just want a natural coverage I would suggest to apply a layer of sunscreen as well. Especially if you live in a sunny place like I do!

Overall I do really like this products mostly because it really suits me and my skin perfectly. I really need something that is hydrating but still will give me a nice and light coverage but, that doesn’t feel heavy. I hate the feeling of having a bunch of makeup on my face and a lot of time regular usage of heavy makeup will make my skin brake out a little bit.

The PÜR Hydrafluid Water Serum Foundation retails for $39 at ULTA and contains of 1 oz/30ml
